How is checkout handled with Trade Orders?


The Trade Orders app provides a separate checkout journey to a select group of customers based on if they have a Trade Orders tag on their account. The benefit of this secondary checkout is that no payment is taken upfront and normal non-trade customers will never be able to use it.

As no payment is taken upfront and we do not directly use the Shopify checkout no transaction fees will be taken for orders being placed through trade orders.

Trade orders creates a single order that will show up in the Shopify admin and can be invoiced for. All invoicing is handled separately and no invoicing functionality or edit order functionality is directly included in the app.
